Organizers of AKYIRE-BA 16 TEAMS GALA COMPETITION have announced the date for the commencement of this year’s edition of the Adenta Gala competition.
The grassroots Gala football competition is scheduled to take place from July 15th to 16th, 2023 at the Adenta Community School Park.
For this year’s edition, the number of participating community teams has risen to 16 from 14 teams that participated in previous editions.
The 16 teams were drawn from Adenta Municipality in Accra Ghana.
The tournament is designed to equip underserved pre-teens with the core values, knowledge and skills needed to realise their full potential as leaders of the next generation.
Last week, the draws to pair the participating teams were done at an event by Akyire-Ba Business Group Executives
Speaking at the event, DANIEL AKYIRE BLANKSON, CEO & Founder of Akyire-Ba Business Group Limited, said the increase in the number of participating teams shows the competition is extending excitement to more youth in the community.

“Primarily, this competition’s objective is talent development for ‘at-risk’ the youth who should be engaged positively. Last year we hosted more youth who went home smiling. It truly takes a village to make the community a better place and we are invested in impacting the youth through football.”
