Director of Communication for Aduana Stars, Evans Oppong “Maestro” has promised to end Hearts of Oak’s ambition of winning the 2020/21 league season after matchday one.
The Phobians have endured a decade-long trophy-less run and are poised to bring the unenviable record to a crashing halt in the upcoming season. Head coach of the side, Edward Nii Odoom contends his side is well positioned to end the trophy drought this season however Aduana Stars, two-time winners of the Ghanaian top flight, are plotting to thwart their efforts.
“We are battle-ready for Hearts of Oak, we will do everything possible to beat them at Dormaa to begin the league,” Maestro told OTEC FM
“We will beat them (Hearts) convincingly to thwart their ambition of winning the league. We have targeted 13 points out of the 15 points of our first five games” he ended.
Aduana Stars will host the Phobians at their dreaded backyard, Nana Agyemang Badu II park on match day one of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League. Both teams shared the spoils in the annulled 2019/20 season and will serve a tantalizing opening-day fixture for advocates of the domestic league.
