Procupine Warriors Team News: Asante Kotoko SC set to announce supprise replacement for Justice Blay
Ghana Premier League outfit, Asante Kotoko has identified Karela United’s midfielder, Emmanuel Keyekeh as an alternative should their plans of bringing back Justice Blay fail.
Blay, had a two-year stint with the Porcupine Warriors and was a huge success.
Following the expiration of his deal with Kotoko and his eventual return to parent club Medeama SC, talks have commenced over a possible return; this time on permanent basis.
Asante Kotoko is not ready to cough out the $200,000 asking price by Medeama; Footballmadeinghana.com reports.
A deep throat source also revealed that in as much as the player favors a return to Kotoko, Medeama prefer selling him to a foreign club, prompting the need for Kotoko to look elsewhere.
Our source goes further to say that, Maxwell Konadu, head coach of Kotoko has identified Karela’s Emmanuel Keyekeh as the player to come in should the Blay negotiations hit a snag.
The Royal club will need one more midfielder ahead of their CAF Champions League campaign next season.
Keyekeh, 22, who is on the radar of Hearts of Oak is one of the best midfielders in the local scene, and the 24-time Ghana Premier League champions believe his profile fits the project they want to embark upon.
