Member of Parliament for South Tongu and Ranking Member of the the Parliamentary Select Committee on Youth and Sports, Hon. Kwabena Woyome has adviced the Sports Minister, Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah to give praise to the former president for the multi-purpose youth centres.
“Under the former president, John Mahama, he ensured that, the National Youth Authority (NYA) gave 5% of the common fund to the Sports Ministry which was approved by Parliament during Hon. Isaac Asiamah’s time.
“I keep on saying he is the luckiest Minister, so I advice my brother Hon. Isaac Asiamah to praise the former president, John Mahama for all this multi-purpose youth centres anytime he gets the platform to talk about the youth centres for ensuing that Act 139 was given some resources for all these things to take place.
For me if you look at what is being done across the country, I will consider the standard to be to just for district standard.
They are supposed to be done for the districts and not for the regions.
The kind we need for the regions are the kind that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government built at Cape Coast,”he told Atinka FM.
