The Charges Against Me Are Amateurish – Kofi Manu To GFA Ethics Committee

Embattled football administrator, Kofi Manu has decribed the charges levelled against him by the Ghana Football Association Ethics Committee as amateurish.

It would be recalled that, the Ghana Football Association on Friday September 18 began prosecution of individuals implicated in the infamous Number 12 exposè, which busted top football administrators engaging in acts of bribery and allegation.

Kofi Manu, affectionately called Blue Boy in the football circles alongside former Greater Accra Regional Football Association have both been charged for Abuse of position contrary to Article 25(1) of the GFA Code of Ethics, 2019.

They have also been charged for Bribery contrary to Article 27(1) and (2) of the GFA Code of Ethics, 2019.

Both are expected to submit their written Statements of Defence by Thursday, September 24, 2020 at the GFA Secretariat on or before 4:00pm or through dc@ghanafa.org.

But reacting to the charges against him, Kofi Manu told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM:

“On receipt of the charges from the Prosecutor I laughed ‘300 gallons’.

A bold Kofi Manu added: “This is very normal and I can assure all that it won’t hold because the GFA has breached Article 19 of the 1992 constitution, the charges against me are amateurish,” he concluded
