The safest pair of hands for Hearts of Oak, Richard Attah, argues the current squad of the Phobians is formidable and even the best of players will struggle to make a starting berth.
The capital-based heavyweights have resumed training on the back of the president’s decision to ease restrictions on contact sports. Head coach Edward Nii Odoom has not relented in putting his boys through their paces since they commenced group training.
The soft-spoken coach is convinced his side will be a force to reckon with and has alluded the Rainbow club will break their ten-year trophy-less drought when the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League kick starts.
Corroborating the assertion of the gaffer, goalie Richard Attah believes the current set-up is formidable and even Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi will find it difficult to break into the first team.
“We have a strong 30-man team at the club right now. So, any player joining us is going to have to fight for a position. No player can break into the team easily,’ he told Angel FM.
“At Hearts of Oak, even Lionel Messi would fail to get time to play” he proclaimed.
The country’s topflight kicks start next month with the 19-time champions tipped as heavy favourites to clinch the title.
