Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan will be out for the next eight weeks after undergoing his surgery according to Accra based radio station Angel FM.
Annan suffered a thigh injury in Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Berekum with Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park.
Annan had produced some quality saves before the injury and Kotoko were leading 1-0 thanks to Kwame Poku’s 18th-minute goal
Kwame Baah replaced the crocked goalie in the late embers of the game and is expected to return to the goalkeeping duties for the next few weeks.
The goalkeeping department of Asante Kotoko SC can however call on Kwame Baah, Razak Abalora and Danlad Ibrahim in the absence of Felix Annan when they face FC Noaudhibou next week in the CAF champions league preliminary round.
Asante Kotoko is 7th on the league after two matches.
