Ghanaian referees Charles Bulu and Tijani Ayamga will be on officiating duties when Benin cross swords with Niger in the ongoing WAFU U-17 tournament in neighbouring Togo.
Initially, the Benin vs Niger game would have been officiated by a Togolese referee and supported by fellow compatriot and another from an Ivorian assistant referee.
Charles Bulu and Tijani, a native of the Upper East region were billed to officiate in the Togo vs Burkina Faso tie however the host nation was disqualified due to a couple of the Togolese players failing the MRI scan.
The match will be played this evening at 7pm.
Tijani is the only FIFA referee in the Upper East region and doubles as the Regional chairman of Referees Association of Ghana (RAG)
