Over the past few weeks I really found myself eulogizing the Ghana Football Association(GFA)and its President due to some impressive results I have seen.
My decision to celebrate the little achievements of the FA was fortified when I saw the FA president in Parliament to support the new Youth and Sports Minister during his vetting in Parliament.Apparently the GFA capo was the only top notch sport administrator I saw over there. The loop find that impressive in the spirit of corporate relationship.
The loop’s point is that, the GFA seems to have ignored their little achievements so far or better say they are just not aware of their own little achievements. Is it also a case of complacency?
I read a piece that has gone viral on social media by the Ghana Beach Soccer regarding sequence of events on how their so called withdrawal from a scheduled game against Uganda came about and couldn’t help but scratched my head over couple of minutes searching for relevant answers.
Listening to the voice of Yaw Ampofo Ankrah(President of Ghana Beach Soccer) on the matter added salt to my already painful wound….
Unfortunately, the loop has been very busy investigating and critically analysing the fallouts from the latest Black Stars player call-up and other matters relating to the Black Stars Coach residence but the beach soccer case just hit the media landscape to attract our urgent attention.
The loop is respectfully calling on the GFA through its general secretary Mr. Prosper Harrison Addo or
Mr.Alex Asante, the man in charge of national teams to as a matter urgency come out to clarify the lingering questions the loop is anticipating to raise subsequently.
The loop wishes to express it utmost sadness to what is happening to Ghana Beach Soccer.
The loop will like to state categorically that the issue is not about the FA president.
The loop can only encourage the FA President, Kurt Okraku to immediately investigate the matter and do the needful to avoid any future reoccurrence of such monumental blander.
Mr. President, please don’t spare the rod and spoil the child.
Will be back
