Vision FC were hoping to record their first win of the season when they hosted Danbort FC in a Division One League matchday six encounter at the Nii Amoah Okromansah Park, Amrahia. But their woes continue as they shared the spoils with the Nungua-based side.
Vision looked to stamp their authority in the opening minutes with a long-range strike from Benjamin Aloma but had his effort grabbed by the visitors’ shot-stopper. The best chance fell in the way of youngster Fawzan Yussif who tried his luck from the right side of attack but luck eluded him as his effort hit the far post before being cleared away.
Danbort put our safest pair William Essu to test twice in 15 minutes but the goalkeeper pulled out spectacular saves and passed with flying colours. The first half ended with both sides failing to break the deadlock as few chances were created prior.
After the break, Vision had two glaring opportunities before the 55th minute – Johnson Osei’s low drive was denied by the post before Abdallah Yahaya had his long-range effort palmed away by the visiting goalkeeper.
A tactical change was effected moments later as Mohammed Karim replaced Fawzan Yussif which nearly yielded positive results in the 67th minute. Johnson Osei was second time unlucky as an effort from rebound went over the bar for a goal kick.
Mohammed Karim called the Danbort goalkeeper to duty in the 80th minute with a shot from 20-yards but saw his long-range effort denied.
Two changes were made before the end of proceedings as Joseph Mensah and Manuel Korley replaced injured Benjamin Aloma and Frank Oppong respectively.
With five minutes of additional time, the visitors’ resorted to time-wasting and saw the game travel to the 100th-minute mark before the referee Godwin Tordzro ended the game.
The results leave Vision in the 12th position with four points after six round of matches.
Johnson Osei was named Man-of-the-Match following his tireless performance this afternoon.
