2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers: Ghana, Algeria, Egypt And Others Are Through To World Cup Qualifying Play-offs
Only the group winners progress to Africa’s playoffs and the other five teams will be decided when group stage ends. The five winners of the two-leg playoffs will be Africa’s representatives at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Egypt went through to Africa’s 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers qualifying playoffs after fighting back from 0-2 down for a 2-2 draw in Angola.
The point ensured Egypt won Group F with a game to spare and denied Gabon the chance of stealing the playoff place.
Ghana have also booked their place to the paly-off after beating South Africa 1-0 at the Cape Coast Staiuum. Ghana used goals difference to top the group G after both teams finished on top of the group with 13.
Ghana joined Egypt, Morocco, Senegal and Mali and others for the playoffs in March. Only the group winners progress to Africa’s playoffs and the other six teams will be decided by Tuesday when the group stage ends.
