Berekum Chelsea captain Stephen Amankona has expressed interest in playing for Asante Kotoko ahead of the 2021-22 football season.
Amankona has been on the radar of the Porcupines since the transfer window opened as they aim to sign the highly-rated midfielder.
Speaking in an interview with Fox FM in Kumasi, the attacker revealed his admiration for the Ghana Premier League giants adding that it’s a dream he would want to fulfil.
“I am ready and willing to play for Kumasi Asante Kotoko but it is left with the onwards transfer fee. Chelsea wants 30% onwards transfer fee but Kotoko want to pay 15%,” he said in an interview with Kumasi-based Fox FM.
The player further on professed his affection for Kotoko; “Kotoko is very dear to my heart. I want to come and serve Asanteman. I am very eager to come and play for Kotoko. Personal terms and transfer fee is not a problem for now. I am really pushing for the deal to happen”
“The faith that Kotoko has in me, I want to come and repay it. Right now, I am only waiting for Nana Yaw Amponsah to call me to come to Kumasi.
