Ghana international, Jordan Ayew, has presented a framed jersey to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, in London.
The Black Stars forward’s gesture came just hours after he broke his goalscoring duck when Crystal Palace squared off against top-four chasers Arsenal.
His goal, which was his second of the season, helped the Eagles stun Arsenal 3-0 at Selhurst Park on Monday.
The occasion was probably made sweeter by the fact Ghana’s President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, was in attendance at Selhurst Park to watch the match.
After the game, Jordan met the West African country’s Commander-in-Chief before presenting him with a framed and signed Crystal Palace jersey with his name and squad number on it.
They also had a conversation about the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where the Black Stars were paired against Uruguay, South Korea and Portugal.
Jordan Ayew was instrumental in the Black Stars’ qualification to the Mundial at the expense of the Super Eagles of Nigeria last week. Jordan Ayew played a key role as Ghana returned to the World Cup after urging Nigeria into the playoff last week.
