After her fine exploit against Cyprus, Top seed Ruth Crawford could not find an antidote to her opponent as she lost 1-6,3-6 to No.1 seed Adesuwa Osubuohien.
In the doubles’ event, Top seed Ruth Crawford partnered No.2 seed Elizabeth Bagerbaseh beautifully to beat Adetayo Adetunji and Adesuwa Osubouhien 6-3,2-6,6-4.
Earlier on, team Ghana trash Azerbaijan 3-0 as No.1 seed Ruth Crawford handed Aydan Ibrahimova 6-0,6-0. Second seed Elizabeth Bagerbaseh also beats Lala Eyvazova 2-1 (r). In the doubles event team Ghana had a walkover after Azerbaijan failed to show up.
