Free scoring Ridge City Football Club Women defeated Blessed Ladies FC 4-0 in the Greater Accra Women’s Division One League final play -off on Sunday 3rd July, 2022 at McDan La Astro Turf to gained promotion to the Women’s Division One League Zonal Championship.
Ridge City started the game on a brighter note by throwing more ladies upfront in an attempt to destabilize the Blessed Ladies FC defence, their numbers attacks from Loretta Afful, Lydia Krampah and Celestine Boye were neutralized by the defence of Blessed Ladies FC.
Ridge City did not relent on their efforts and continued pressing for the opener through captain for the side Loretta Afful before Benedict Swatson got the second goal before half.
Back in the second half, Ridge City attackers became too strong for Blessed Ladies FC to deal with.
Substitute Dorca Ntiriwaa got the third goal before Loretta Afful added the fourth goal and her second of the day to make it 4-0 for Ridge City.

Ridge City Football Club Women have now booked their place for the Women’s Division One League Zonal Championship play-off which is scheduled to take place at Alyinase CAM park at Karela Friday, July 8 to Sunday July 17, 2022 where the two top team from the southern zone will qualify to the Women’s Premier League.
