Black Queen’s and Vikingor Olafsvik forward, Samira Suleman has said that the frequent Change in coaches at the national teams is not helping the teams progress.

The former Hasaacas ladies forward believes the change in national team coaches hasn’t helped in the past years, speaking to Footballmadeinghana.com, Samira recounted how quickly they retrogressed after change of coaches in the past years.

” In 2014, Yussif Basigi took us to the AFCON but we didn’t do well. At that time he was building his team. Then next year in 2015, we went to the all African games and won gold. The following year in 2016 we won bronze at the AFCON. The next thing we heard was he has been sacked for Didi Dramani. Didi took over the team, invited new players and dropped several players who were doing very well during Yussif Basigi’s time. For me changing of coaches frequently doesn’t help. It doesn’t help the progress of the team.”

The 28year old further revealed how she grew up playing in the midst of boys and reasons her Aunty nearly stopped her from playing football.

“My aunt told me if I play football I will become stiff. I grew up in zongo, I didn’t face any problem playing football. The boys were even happy I was playing with them. Sometimes they called me to come and play with them.”
