Winning The FIFA U-17 World Cup For Ghana Is My Target- Elshaddai Acheampong

Deputy Captain of the Black Maidens of Ghana and striker of Ghana women premier league side, Kumasi Sports Academy, Elshaddai Acheampong has reiterated her desire to win the FIFA U17 women world cup.

In an interview with Ghsportsnews.com, the KUSA Ladies attacker disclosed that it is her dream to win the ultimate trophy for the West African giants.

My target is to go to the finals of the U17 world cup and win the trophy.We have failed over the years in our previous attempts and I have taken upon myself together with the team to qualify to the tournament and bring home the trophy.”

The talented attacker further applauded GFA’s decision to enroll female footballers on the Youth and Employment Agency’s initiative. According to Elshaddai,it is a good decision which will go a long way to help female footballers in the country.

“When I heard the news and I was highly elated. This will go a long way to help us. The allowances will help us acquire more of our boots, jerseys and other stuffs because most of us does not have managers.
I think this is a good decisions and we appreciate it much.”
