Ghana Olympic Committee Refutes Claims of Poor Preparation
The Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) is setting the record straight regarding recent claims of poor preparation being the cause of Ghana’s disappointing results in international competitions.
Contrary to a recent report, GOC President Ben Nunoo Mensah never granted an interview stating that inadequate planning and lack of resources contributed to the nation’s subpar performance. The report in question is entirely untrue, and the GOC President strongly denies making such comments.
In fact, thorough preparations were made for a successful Olympics appearance by the GOC, in collaboration with the French Embassy in Ghana and the government. This collective effort cannot be taken for granted.
The GOC is demanding that the writer produce exact quotes from the alleged interview or retract the story entirely. The Committee stands by its commitment to excellence and transparency, and such baseless claims will not be tolerated.
“We take pride in our preparations and dedication to Ghanaian athletes,” said President Ben Nunoo Mensah. “We will not let unfounded claims tarnish our reputation and hard work.”
The GOC remains committed to supporting Ghanaian athletes and promoting Olympic values in the country. We look forward to continued success and progress in international competitions.
