Midfielder Samuel Tenadu resumes full training on Tuesday and could be available for selection Asante Kotoko SC game against FC Samartex on Sunday.
The Porcupines return to Ghana Premier League action at Len Clay Stadium this weekend, having sat out of the last round of games due to club engagement overseas.
Tenadu was billed for his home debut in the season’s opener against Young Apostles, but missed out due to a foot injury he picked up during the warm-up.
The player, regarded by many as the ultimate screen shield, has been undergoing rehabilitation and a debut for the number 20 would be met with applause in his hometown, Obuasi.
Tenadu’s return is a major boost for the Porcupines as Prosper Ogum’s men aim to reclaim the top spot from the tight schedule that includes Legon Cities away and Basake Holy Stars.
The Porcupines have picked up eleven points from the opening five games with a game in hand.
Having had two straight home wins from as many games, the squad looks to make it a hat-trick of victories from Sunday’s tough opponent.
