2024 AFCON Beach: CAF insists Black Sharks top scorer could inspire Ghana’s game against Mozambique
The Black Sharks of Ghana already know that they will not be going to the Island of Seychelles for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup next May; however, they can still.leave the Afcon tournament in Egypt with a special prize.
Sharks striker Alexander Adjei leads the CAF Beach Soccer Afcon Goal King chart with 8 goals from three matches played so far.
The 32 year old Adjei was also Goal King at the 2016 Afcon in Seychelles with an incredible 17 goals in five matches followed by Abu Azeez of Nigeria who scored an equally impressive 14 goals in that edition.
Azeez has since retired from international football and is part of the Afcon commentary team for Bein Sports.
The Goal King race in Egypt could go down to the wire with other strikers still in contention ahead of four crucial games on Thursday.
Cheikh Belkheir of Mauritania and Sandram Saddi of Malawi are both on 6 goals apiece.
Followed closely by three other players from Mozambique, Senegal and Mauritania who have registered 5 goals each.
