AFCON 2023 Qualifiers: Black Stars Coach Chris Hughton names ‘Might’ Starting XI for Angola showdown, Kudus, Partey start while Dede Ayew start from beach

New Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton has named his starting eleven for this evening’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Angola at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The game counts for round three of the group stage qualifiers for next year’s tournament to be held in Ivory Coast.

Ghana leads Group E based on goal difference with four points, same as the Palancas Negras. This game will be a determiner of who tops the group after the March international break.

Lawrence Ati-Zigi who was outstanding in the country’s World Cup games in Qatar earlier this year will start in goal with Dennis Odoi and Gideon Mensah flanking him.

The central defense will have Daniel Amartey and Alexandre Djiku with Edmund Addo and Thomas Partey playing ahead of them.

Jordan Ayew and Kamaldeen Sulemana will be on the flanks with Mohammed Kudus playing behind Inaki Williams who is leading the lines.
