Despite being regarded as the best defensive midfielder in the Premier League by many, Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey says he is solely focused on improving as a player to help his team achieve their goals.
Following the incredible exploits of both players this season, the Black Stars player has been drawn into the debate about who is a better player between himself and Manchester United’s Casemiro.
While the 29-year-old is honoured to be compared to the Brazilian, he believes it is rather essential that he inspires his team to achieve their objectives.
“Well, I think I have to concentrate on my work and I’m happy to be seen by some people and the most important thing is to keep helping the team which is the mentality I have, and also to work on myself,” Partey told the media.
Partey has been the driving force in midfield for the Gunners this season, propelling them to the top of the league table.
The midfielder has three goals in 22 Premier League appearances this season.
