Asante Kotoko Board Member believes all is not lost despite their elimination from the Cup competition which has left them with only the Ghana Premier League title to fight for this season
Evelyn Nsiah Asare has responded to criticism directed at the club’s top hierarchy in the wake of their MTN FA Cup defeat by to city rivals King Faisal, insisting that they will bounce back.
A first half goal from diminutive midfielder Baba Yahaya, after he benefited from Andrew Appau’s mistake, helped Faisal to record a back-to-back victory over Kotoko in December.
The results have raised concerns about the club’s title challenge this season after going trophyless last term but the board member believes even Spanish giants Barcelona are recently facing troubles therefore all is not lost.
“Krobea is out of FA Cup and so what?” she quizzed.
“Bacelona is out of Champions League, I do not think their supporters or the team is dead. You can say all that you want, we are still a great family and we will be back.
“I sleep Krobea, I eat Krobea na my everything is Krobea,” she added.

Kotoko, who sit second on the Ghana Premier League log with 20 points, will head to Dormaa Ahenkro this weekend to face leaders Aduana Stars in the top of the table clash. The two clubs have same points.
Kotoko have one outstanding game against Hearts of Oak due to the latter’s participation in Caf Confederation Cup and the date for it will be communicated later by Ghana Football Association.
