Monday 10 July 2023, will witness the convergence of football stakeholders at the Great Hall of KNUST – Kumasi, in the Ashanti region.
124 delegates are expected to attend the all important gathering which will be the 29th Ordinary Congress in accordance with Article 23.3.1 of the GFA Statutes, which states that, “The GFA Congress shall meet in ordinary session once every football season, normally before the commencement of the season”.
Among the delegates, Ghana Beach Soccer will be represented by it’s leader Yaw Ampofo Ankrah as well as the chairman of the Clubs Union Kusi Gyamfi Awere.
A third official in the person of Nana Poku Amankwah is the national coordinator and member of the GFA Beach Soccer competitions committee.
The trio will be engaging delegates for future support on the need to increase representation for the discipline which continues to grow on the African continent and across the globe.
An 80 page book ,”Sand to Gold”, authored by Yaw Ampofo Ankrah will be distributed among delegates detailing the journey, growth and road map for the sport in Ghana.
Currently, the Ghana Beach Soccer Premier League is played across two zones with Ada, Keta, Senya Bereku and Accra hosting matches every weekend.
