Ghana midfielder Baba Iddrisu picked up an injury in Mallorca’s 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old felt some discomfort and limped off as he was replaced Rodrigo Battaglia at half-time.
The injury comes at a crucial time as Iddrisu had been included in Ghana’s yet-to-be-announced final squad for the World Cup.
The Mallorca midfielder has been a mainstay in the Black Stars under Otto Addo featuring in both the Brazil and Nicaragua friendlies.
The extent of the injury is unknown but Otto Addo is obliged to name his squad by November 13.
Ghana’s World Cup campaign in 2022 will begin on November 24 against Portugal. The Black Stars’ second group game is against South Korea on November 28, followed by a match against Uruguay on December 2.
The Black Stars hope to reach the semi-finals.
