Ghana’s senior male national football team, The Black Stars will have a new team bus for their domestic movements in the coming weeks.
This was announced by the President of the Ghana Football Association(GFA), Mr. Kurt E.S.Okraku in his opening address of the 27th ordinary session of congress at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram on Thursday.
The new bus, which will also serve the other eleven(11) national teams of the West African Country, will be purchased by the GFA through FIFA Forward 1.0 project.
“We have ten(10) active national teams and two(2) passive national teams. And all this national teams have access to only one bus. We(GFA) think this is not good enough”, The GFA president said.
“The Football Association, through the FIFA Forward 1.0, will invest in the purchase of a new bus for our various football national teams”, he added.
For more than a decade, the Black Stars and all other national teams of Ghana have had to use just a single team bus for their domestic travels during international assignments.
That has made the football governing body resort to public transport for other national teams whenever two or more of the teams have programs concurrently.
