Ghana Premier League outfit Karela United have demanded their club kits from players in possession of their jerseys before they are remunerated, Ghsportsnews.com has learnt.
The Anyinase-based club who missed out on top four position despite a strong start to the 2020-2021 Ghana Premier League have demanded players in possession of their kits return them with immediate effect, a close source has revealed to this portal.
According to the trusted source, players who have the club jerseys in their possession are yet to receive their salaries and the Passion and Pride side are bent on recouping their kits from the playing body and any player who has dared to go contrary is facing the full brunt of the wrath of the club.
This revelation comes as a jaw dropping surprise considering the huge sponsorship deal secured by the Crosby Awuah Memorial park side and per the hell-bent stance taken by the club at the detriment of the financial well-being of the players stalling their salaries it leaves a lot of questions marks about the policy of the club.
Should the players take the club on by reporting them to the Player Status Committee, Karela United could be in hot waters.
