Yaw Yeboah, skipper of the national Under 23, has been named Player of the week in the Polish Ekstraklasa following his impressive performance for Wiesla Krakow over the weekend.
Yeboah, 23, who broke his goalscoring duck for the 13-time Polish Champions bagged a brace coupled with an assist to secure a handsome win for Wiesla Krakow.
The former FC Twente nimble-footed attacker notched his debut goal for Krakow two minutes after recess before doubling his tally as his side strolled to their first win of the 2020/21 Polish Ekstraklasa.
He beat off competition from three other nominees comprising team-mate Patryk Plewka, Angel Garcia and Tomas Pekhart to pick up the personal award.
Since joining the Polish giants, Yeboah has mustered five appearances in as many matches played in the Polish top flight interlaced with two goals and an assist.
He will be hoping for more of similar performances to draw the attention of the technical handlers of the Black Stars ahead of their next assignment in November.
