Ghanaian Superpower AshGold SC are set to screen theirs players and other technical staff for the dreadful Covid-19 ahead of their CAF Confideration Cup camping.
Ghana Football Association suspended the 2019/2020 as part of the plans to curb the transfer of Covid-19.
In an Interview with Kumasi FM, AshGold SC team doctor, George Chidi said, “We are done with the pre-competition medical assessment. The COVID-19 test is slated for Saturday and will be in batches of ten.
We wrote a proposal to the KCCR and informed them about our intentions and they agreed to help us, so it’s free.
Players who test positive will be isolated and managed accordingly. The players will not be allowed to go back to the society after the test”, he added
“When we are done we will look at the percentage of players that are negative and write a proposal to government and GFA for an opportunity to start small groups training”, he concluded
AshGold SC is set to represent Ghana at the 2020/2021 CAF Confideration Cup.
