Ghana came third in Japan’s four-nation tournament, Kirin Cup in June this year. Danlad was supposed to be part of the team but could not join his teammates as his absence from Kotoko would have meant that Kotoko would have only one goalkeeper left.
Kotoko would also play a friendly with Nigerian champions, Rivers United in Turkey before they return to Ghana to prepare for their CAF Champions League game against Kadiogo.
