Wearing Hearts of Oak jersey for the first time was a great feeling -Vincent Atinga

Former Shabaab center back, Vincent Atinga has revealed how excited he was playing in the rainbow jersey for the first time for Accra Hearts of Oak.

Speaking in an interview with Ghsportsnews.com, the former Ebusua Dwarfs and Unistar academy defender confirmed that it was actually a greater feeling playing for the 2004 CAF Confederation champions and didn’t think twice when Hearts of Oak came knocking at his door.

“Its every player’s dream to play for a a great club for exposure and I didn’t have a second thought when the offer came because I knew I would get a bigger platform to showcase my talent with Hearts of Oak, it was a great feeling wearing Hearts of oak jersey”.

The former Tirana fc defender further revealed that playing outside the shores of Ghana for the first time for Albanian side,Tirana fc wasn’t easy and stated reason for moving away to Kuwait.

“I didn’t get it easy due to the weather, it wasn’t normal like ours back home but we were able to adapt quickly. I went with Winfull Kobinah so I found it a bit easier because we did almost everything together and it was a great feeling.”

“Things were going on well until things turned around when the coach Zemaria was sacked. I wasn’t getting enough playing time under the new manager because he came with his players so I had to consult management and seek a move away. God being so good,Rashid Sumaila was able to help me seal a move to All Qadsia in Kuwait.”
