Black Bomber’s Dr Ornella Sathoud on Sunday-21 August, 2022 at Cox Business Convention Center -USA,won the National Golden gloves Champion (Women Light Heavyweight-80kg) in the USA.
Her Next challenge for honours (fight) will be the Women Middleweight – 75kg, championship belt in the USA.
Is part of her preparation for the Accra 2023 African Games to be hosted by Ghana & also shaping up for the qualifiers for Paris 2024 Olympic games.
For the records, she’s represented Ghana at the just ended Birmingham Commonwealth Games in the UK, where she looks lost to England’s Kerry Davis in Round of 16, making her the 1st Female Boxer to represent at the Commonwealth Games.
She’s previously participated in the 2019 African Games held Rabat-Morocco & also won. Bronze in Dakar – Senegal during the African Olympic Qualifiers, February-2020 but missed out on the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games.
The Dakar feat made her the 1st Ghanaian Female Boxer to win a medal at a major competition.
Ornella is ranked -10th in the world & 3rd in Africa Women Middleweight 75 Kg division by IBA/IOC taskforce.
