The General Manager of Dreams Football Club, Ameenu Shadow, has weighed in on his side’s forthcoming Premier League clash with Asante Kotoko.
Shadow, who doubles as the Black Stars Team Manager, believes that a “good win” against the struggling former league champions would serve a morale booster ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup double header against Zamalek.
“Kotoko ought to be given a good defeat, as a moral booster into the Zamalek game,” he said on Warm Up+ Sports Show on TV3 when asked about his expectations of the game, slated for Sunday, April 14 at the Dawu Sports Stadium.
While maintaining uttermost respect for the Porcupine Warriors, Ameenu was also confident of a win for coach Abdul Karim Zito’s charges.
The manager also reflected on how far his team has come in the ongoing Confederations Cap, where he said “even management of the team has not had the time to reflect on how far we have come because a new task always pops up after a headle is crossed.
“Hence we are currently poised and focused on preparing to meet Zamalek SC and give them a game to remember with aim of getting a good result. We are geared up and keen on writing our history in the good books of African football.”
Dreams FC is currently languishing in 16th position on the league table, with two outstanding matches.
