Former Asante Kotoko coach Michael Osei has advised local players to strive hard and play outside to make money else they will be poor at the end of their careers.
Several local players in the Ghana premier league have been struggling for years when it comes to meager amount they take home as salaries at the end of the month. The sad development has over the years seen many quality talents leaving the shores of the country to obscure destinations to play their trade and make enough money to survive.
Speaking to Untoldstories TV GH, the Star Madrid coach has urged local players to do well and leave the local game to earn better leaving else they will be poor when they end their careers in Ghana.
“We have the talent but the truth is that there is no money in our game
We all hope for the best to happen to our local game so players won’t be leaving day in da out but to be honest ,if you are a local player and you end or want to end your career here you will die a pauper” Osei told Untoldstories TV GH
