Flying Eagles of Ghana Thump Burkina Faso 17-15 in the Finals Of Rugby 7s West Africa Pre- World Qualifiers
The Eagles of Ghana earned team victory over Burkina Faso in the Pre World Cup West Africa Regional Sevens on Sunday with an emphatic win in the winner takes all clash.
The Eagles came from behind to beat Burkina Faso 17-15 at Paa Joe Stadium-KNUST to qualify for the the next stage of the qualifiers to be held in Tunisia in April, 2022.

After a promising start, Ghana succumbed to the high- pressing game on the Burkinas and trailed Burkina Faso 5-10 at half time.
Ghana improved in the second period as their impressive turn- over attacks resulted in great ties.
Burkina Faso were excellent in the scrum and goal kicks but Ghana eventually secured a 17-15 win.
In the Ladies categories, the Eagle Ladies of Ghana won the Gold medal after beating Burkina Faso in their last of the pre-world Cup Rugby Africa 7sm tournament on Sunday.
The Ghana Eagles Women’s team went unbeaten in the tournament.
Ghana beat Togo 51-0 in the first game and went ahead to Burkina Faso 19-17. In the semi finals defeats Benin 41-0 before their last game where the beat Burkina Faso 45-12.
They have also secure a qualification to the next stage of the pre world Cup West Africa Regional Sevens.
