From a slow start to a wonderful finish, the story of the Army officer Samuel Akayade

Samuel Akayade put up a spectacular performance to begin winning ways for the Black Loopers. He played the decider against Kouassi Ange-Aime of Ivory Coast in a fiercely contested match.

Samuel Akayade, unfortunately lost 0-3 in what seemed like a walk-over match between him and Kizito Oba of Ivory Coast causing Ghana to lose their first point but when the opportunity presented itself for him to play again, he turned things around for his good by redeeming himself and securing the win for his country. He gathered all the experience he’s attained over the years to outplay his opponent during the final match.

Akayade couldn’t hide his excitement after the marvelous win. He is thankful to God, his teammates, coaches and supporters for believing in him even after losing the opener. He is also grateful to Ghana Army for their support.
