GARFA Div 3: Dawtex FC ends 2023/24 unbeaten, aims to replicate feat in Middle-League Playoffs
Dawtex Football Club were crowned Zone 2 champions of the GA East District Football Association at the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
The Legon based side proved their worth, ending the season unbeaten after 18 games with just 3 draws and 15 victories.
Their stalemate were against As Koppan,Top flight and Madina Miracles all being away games.
Having booked their spot ahead of the Middle-League Playoffs, Dawtex are poised to continue their fine form to earn a spot in the 2024/25 GARFA Division Two League.
Speaking ahead of the much-anticipated play-offs which kicks off on Sunday, June 9, skipper of the side, Bright Apeku said, the mission remains the season after winning the league.
Adding that, the consistency and hardwork of the players played a huge success.
“Per our preparation from the start of the league , the mission remains the same winning the league and and also winning the middle league to earn promotion not only to the club but to other good players to other clubs and beyond all through consistent hardwork and dedication“.
Dawtex have been paired against Asooya Young Talent, Adenta Youth and Accra Elite for a place in next season’s Division 2 league.
The Zone 2 Champions will open their campaign against Adenta Youth on Sunday, June 6 at the Adjiringanor AstroTurf before facing Accra Elite on Wednesday, June 12 and Asooya Talent Youth on Sunday, June 16 to climax the play-offs.
