The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced its best performing players in each position for the first round of the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League.
The list was compiled and presented by former Black Stars goalkeeper Abubakari Damba.
Abubakari Damba in the team for the first round of the season opted for a 4-4-2 formation and selected the experience Paa Kwasi Fabian as the best coach of the round.
Samartex shot stopper Lawrence Ansah who has kept 7 clean sheets so far this season was selected as the best goalkeeper of the round.
The back four is occupied by Yahya Adramani of Bibiani GoldStars, Yussif Nurudeen of Real Tamale United (RTU), Medeama’s Nurudeen Abdulai and Leventius Arthur of Tamale City.
In midfield, Seidu Abubakar of Samartex, Abass Samari Salifu of Accra Lions, Aduana’s Sam Adams and Stephen Dankwa Badu of RTU were picked.
The attack is led by Berekum Chelsea’s Mezack Afriyie and Steven Mukwala of Asante Kotoko who have 9 goals and 8 goals respectively.
On the substitutes bench, Abubakar Damba picked Jacob Amu Mensah of Accra Lions, Emmanuel Antwi of Great Olympics and Aduana trio Joseph Addo, Steven Anokye Badu and Godfred Poku Wakii.
Others are Bechem United duo Clinton Doudu and Francis Twene.
