The Ghana 4x100m relay men’s team have today booked their qualification for the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Team Ghana [Sean Safo-Antwi, Benjamin Azamati-Kwaku, Joseph Oduro Manu, and Joseph Paul Amoah] finished second [38.79 sec/ .790 m/s] behind Netherlands [38.79 .782 m/s] in heat 2 at the 2021 World Athletics Relays at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów, Poland.
Ghana has advance to the finals which will be held tomorrow at the same venue.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s women’s team [Gemma Acheampong, Latipa Ali, Janet Amponsah, and Hor Halutie] could not make the cut having placed third [44.85 sec] behind Italy [1st] and Japan
