The Ghana Football Association have revealed that they will construct one astro turf pitch at the Ghanaman Soccer of Excellence, Prampram.
This was after the FA announced betPawa as the official headline sponsor of the Ghana Premier League ahead of the 2022/23 season.
betPawa will sponsor Ghana’s top flight until the 2025/26 season with the deal worth six million dollars ($6m).
The official announcement took place at the headquarters of the GFA in Accra on Wednesday, August 3, 2022.
GFA President Kurt Okraku at the unveiling ceremony said this astro turf pitch will be named after GPL headline sponsor betPawa.
He said the project will commence in October 2022.
He also made it known that, the facility will be opened to all clubs who wish to train there.
The GFA and betPawa’s cooperation aims to effectively advertise and position the premier league so that it becomes one of the most popular and alluring leagues on the continent.
