The General Secretary of the Ghana Netball Federation Mr. Ernest Nana Owusu was honored by Shalom Netball Club at the end of the 2023 National Championship which happened at the Accra Sports Stadium Tennis Court on July 16, 2023.
Shalom Netball Netball Club believes that the hard work and dedication of the general secretary cannot be swept under the carpet hence the club’s decision to reward him with a medal and trophy.
The Club that was established in 2017 and based in Odumase Krobo were placed 4th in the just-ended championship.
In an interview with the media, Mr. Ernest Nana Owusu expressed his profound gratitude to the founders, officials, and the playing body of the club for their kind gesture.
“I am overwhelmed by this award and I believe is a step in the right direction to encourage and motivate the younger generation that hard work pays”
He appealed to corporate Ghana and the general public to come to the aid of Ghana Netball to help develop and grow the game.
“We are lurking behind as a federation and as a country in terms of international tournaments due to financial constraints” he stated.
Mr. Owusu has been the General Secretary for the Federation for the past three(3) years and the current coach of Blazing Netball Club.
