Speaking to Ghsportsnews.com, Faraday could not hide her joy after the global recognition from the United Kingdom.
“The desire and need to keep fit in this period is one thing that has been with every footballer, or athlete in general. It has been a real struggle to keep oneself in top shape physically and mentally while at home, especially for female athletes, it has been a challenge that we have had to overcome considering all that we have to deal with out there”, she told Ghsportsnews.com
“I was very excited to see my indoor video posted on the official social media pages of the British High Commision in Ghana. Particularly so because of the opportunity it afforded me to share my indoor routine with Ghana and the world in a period like this, and inspire other women athletes out there to keep fit physically and mentally”
I am glad that the indoor workout video has gotten such attention, and I hope that it goes to inspire young girls in Ghana and beyond to follow their dreams just like I have”, she concluded.
Ghana Football Association and their counterparts from the English FA are in advanced negotiations to sign a partnership for the promotion of Women’s football in Ghana.
