After the 7.7 earthquake in Kahramanmaraş, many cities were affected. Hatay was one of these cities. After the earthquake, some players from Hatayspor and names from the technical committee were also left under the rubble. Finally, good news came from Ghanaian football player Christian Atsu. Hatayspor manager made a statement about the latest situation of the player.
Atakaş Hatayspor Press and Foreign Relations Spokesperson Mustafa Özat spoke to Radio Gol. Özat explained that “Christian Atsu was rescued from the wreckage with injuries, but sporting director Taner Savut is still under the wreckage.”
Speaking to Radio Gol, Mustafa Özat said, “Christian Atsu was taken out with injuries. Our sporting director, Taner Savut, is unfortunately still under the rubble. Hatay has been deeply affected. We are coming towards the end of the most dangerous hours.” said.
Minister Kasapoğlu announced the facilities and halls opened for the use of earthquake victims.
TWO NAMES SURVIVED THE WRECK
Two names from the technical committee in Hatayspor survived the wreckage. Kerim Alici also came out of the wreckage by his own means.
Athletic performance coach Murat Bel and his family, who were in the team of coach Volkan Demirel in Hatayspor, were pulled out of the rubble alive. It was stated that the condition of Bel and his family is good.
