Erling Haaland was the star of the show with three goals as Manchester City came back from two down to beat Crystal Palace 4-2 on Saturday.

Erling Haaland scored a clinical hat-trick – his first goals at The Etihad Stadium – as Manchester City produced yet another stirring comeback.

Trailing 2-0 for the fourth time in six matches, City rallied once Bernardo Silva pulled a goal back at the start of the second half and then Haaland showed his class with a powerful equalising header before tapping in to give his side the lead and then completing an 19-minute treble.”

“It was an amazing feeling to score a hat-trick – a proud moment for me and my family. Yes, I am happy,’ said Haaland afterwards.

‘We had to listen to the manager and do adjustments. We did that and got the result. It is a mentality to trust each other and keep going.

‘In the end, we scored four goals, that is a really good thing. But when we play at home we shouldn’t concede early goals. It’s about working harder.’
