Veronica Baah- Kuma and Mukurama Abdulai were on the score sheet as Hasaaca Ladies routed defending Champions Ampen Darkoa Ladies 2-1 to clinch its fifth Women’s Premier League title.
Both teams had finished top of the tables in the Northern and Southern zones respectively, ensuring a fifth straight final meeting.
Veronica Baah- Kuma got the opener for Hasaaca Ladies on the 11 minutes into the game, just three minutes later, Mukurama Abdulai got the second for Hasaaca Ladies. The first half ended 2-0 in favor of Hasaaca Ladies.
In the second half of the game, Ampem Darkoa missed a lot of goal scoring opportunities before the 2023/24 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League top Scorer, Ophelia Serwaah Amponsah pulled one back on the 81st minutes to make it 2-1.
Hasaaca are now WPL recorder holder of five (5) league titles, 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15, 2020-21 and 2023-24.
The win certifies Hasaaca Ladies as Ghana’s representative in next seasons TotalEnergies CAF Women Champions League.
