Hearts of Oak’s Afriyie Barnieh handed Black Stars call up against Brazil and Nicaragua

In-form Hearts of Oak forward, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh is the only local player that has been included in the Black Stars squad for the upcoming friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua.

Barnieh has been in tremendous form for club and country as he helped the Black Galaxies to qualify for the 2023 CHAN tourney.

Ghana is expected to play two matches in September as part of preparations for the World Cup in Qatar.

New faces like Tariq Lamptey of Brighton, Mohammed Salisu of Southampton, and Inaki Williams of Bilbao have all been named in the squad.

Ghana will play Brazil on Friday September 23, at the Stade Oceane in Le Harve-France before taking on Nicaragua at Estadio Francisco Artes Carrsco in Lorca, Spain on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.
