Local Black Stars coach Ibrahim Tanko has set his sights on the domestic league and left the door open to an approach from the Ghana top flight clubs.
Tanko, whose Black Meteors (national under 23 male team) narrowly missed the Olympic Games in Tokyo, last coached at club level in 2011/12 – where he served in the capacity as assistant manager for Bundesliga side FC Köln.
The 43-year-old tactician who spent a huge chunk of his playing career in Germany espoused his readiness to delve into coaching at club level on the domestic scene.
Why not? I’m always available for any club that comes in with a good offer. It could be any time soon, either today or tomorrow” Tanko told Kumasi-based media outlet OTEC FM.
He added: “My job is coaching so as long as am here, I’m ready and willing for any club who can meet my demands.”
The 1997 UEFA Champions League winner was linked with the Technical Director role at Ghana Premier League outfit King Faisal however the proposed move failed to suffice following a contractural breakdown.
