Ghana Immigration Service Men’s football team, Immigration FC on Sunday 19th may, 2024 were crowned Champions of the Zone Three Greater Accra Regional Football (GARFA) Division Two League at McDan Astro Turf and have also secured a spot in the 2024 Division Two Middle-League play-offs.
Immigration FC won the league with more that 4 points ahead of second place team, NewLife FC, but lost 2-1 to Soccer Bridge FC on the day of coronation match.
Immigration FC finished as winners of three of GARFA 2023/23 Division Two League with 56 points.
Immigration FC has secured a ticket to play in the GARFA Division Two Middle-League play-offs which determine, a team to play in the Access Bank National Division One League next season.
Sunday’s coronation, was attended by a decent crowd that included, the Greater Accra Regional Football Association Chairman who double as the Executive Council Member of the Ghana Football Association, Samuel Aboabire, GARFA Division Two League Board Chairman, Mr George Aforklenyui, DSI Anita Wiredu-Minta among others personalities.
Six teams have book themselves a slot in the Division Two Middle-League play-offs which will determine the team secure promotion to the 2024/25 Access Bank National Division One from Greater Accra Region as table toppers from their various zones.
The other teams include; Kotoku Shining Stars FC (Zone Four Winners), Danbort FC (Zone Two Winners), (True Democracy FC (Zone one Winners), Newtown Youth FC (Zone five winners), Emmanuel City FC (Zone six winners), and Immigration FC (Zone Three winners)
The GARFA Division Two Middle-League play-offs is scheduled to commence on 23rd June, 2024 at the Accra sports Stadium.
