The Ghana Swimming Association today Wednesday September, 2021 have Inaugurated an 11 member Committee for the 14 CANA Africa Junior and Seniors Swimming and open water Championship.
The Championship slated for 11th- 17th October, 2021 which will be held at the Trust Sports Emporium.
Ghana got the nod to host the Championship after a successful display of hosting the 7th Africa Cana Zone two senior swimming Championship at Bukom Boxing Arena.
The LOC is headed by Frederick Acheampong from (GOC), with Vivian Vinette Dougblor (NSA), Tamimu Issah (office of the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana),
Saha Kambo- Lamptey (Ghana Swimming Association), Seth Nti (NSA/GSA Secretary)
Dina Dankowaa Boateng and Sirina Mohammed from Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Other members of the committee are Mrs. Delphina Quaye, Mrs. Helena Williams, Mr. Charles Mensah and Ayishatu Farida Iddriss.
The committee is expected to ensure the successful organization of the Championship.
The 14th CANA Africa Junior and Swimming and Open Water Championship was officially Inaugurated by the Director- General of the National Sports Authority (NSA) Professor Peter Twumasi at the Accra Sports Stadium media center.
