Legon Cities finally won their first Ghana Premier League game this season as a penalty by forward Joseph Adjei earned them a 1-0 victory against WAFA in Accra on Friday night.
Cities had to wait until match week 8 to record what is their first win in the ongoing Ghana Premier League, thanks to Joseph Adjei’s penalty.
Head Coach Bashiru Hayford might be pleased with score line but has a work on his hand regarding scoring from open play.
Adjei’s winner from the spot is the club’s third goal all season and are the only side yet to score from open play.
However, the Royals after the much awaited win has moved one place up to last but one position on the table overtaking King Faisal.
Next on the schedule for Legon Cities is a visit to Dormaa to play Aduana Stars on matchday 9 at Nana Agyemang Badu I park.
